KISS Frontman PAUL STANLEY Undergoes Second Hip Surgery
December 29, 2004KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley this week underwent a second surgery on his hip to correct problems that arose following his hip replacement of October 12. After an undetermined period of rest and physical therapy, he is expected to make a full recovery.
Stanley had previously said that his left hip degenerated from years of high-energy performances with KISS.
The surgery was supposed to happen about three years ago, but Stanley put it off, even though he knew it would have to happen eventually.
"I wound up postponing my hip surgery and, you know, it's like reading in the newspaper your own death, you know, when you keep reading about your hip surgery, and I haven't done it, but I'm just postponing it for awhile," he said. "I have, you know, every intention of continuing doing what I've been doing, but little by little I'm turning bionic."
